Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Log & Pay collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who we are

Log & Pay is run by Paul Hearn, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For the information described in this policy, Paul Hearn is the “data controller”. You can contact us at hello@logandpay.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website we collect the details you type into the form: your name, company name, email address and/or phone number, the number of engineers you have, roughly how many invoices you produce each month, and any message you write.

If you become a customer we also handle the information needed to run the service for you: your business details, your customers' names and contact details, job messages, and the invoices and payment records we create for you.

If you sign in we store your email address and the technical details needed to keep you logged in.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or add you to a mailing list without asking.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the website and store data. They only handle information on our behalf:

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, it is under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We may also share information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to you becoming a customer are deleted after 12 months. Customer records are kept while you use the service, and invoice and payment records are kept for up to 6 years afterwards, as UK tax rules require.

Cookies

Our public pages don't use advertising or analytics cookies. When you sign in to the app we use only the cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you logged in.

Your rights

You can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. To do any of these, email hello@logandpay.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
